Innovating to overcome 3 major global public health threats

HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB have been the focus of the health related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and innovation is playing a key role finding treatments that can save lives as well reduce the toll these diseases have on the social and economic fabric of societies. The MDGs set out to halt and begin to reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS by 2015 as well as stop and begin to reverse the incidence of malaria and TB. Health Partnerships use cutting-edge R&D projects to develop new medicines and vaccines to treat and prevent HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB and contribute to meeting these goals.
